| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Godzilla (1998) |
Godzilla returns to the big screen, only this time made in America by American actors with no terrible dubbing. A hideous monster has escaped from a remote island in the South Pacific. Once a harmless lizard it has mutated due to post World War II nuclear testing in the islands. The lizard leaves a path of destruction on its way to New York City. Michael Broderick is called in because he has studied irradiated animals in the past. What can be done to stop the giant lizard before it destroys New York? It must be stopped before the eggs it has laid hatch and make hundreds more hungry lizards.
