Review Summary and Plot Commentary about 1969
It's 1969 and the Viet Nam conflict is in full swing. Scott and Ralph (Sutherland and Downey) are college freshmen and fast friends. When they arrive home from college, they find their hometown divided, polarized about the war. Both young men want no part of the war, especially Scott, whose brother has just shipped out. When Ralph flunks out of college, the (melo)drama escalates. Each must decide whether they can continue to be true to their ideals.
