| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Dodgeball |
White Goodman (Stiller) runs a gym empire built on making people feel fat and inadequate in order to persuade them to exercise. Nearby, Average Joe's Gym is run by Peter Le Fleur. It is a loose establishment where most of the guys are overweight, clumsy, scrawny or otherwise physically imperfect and who often don't pay gym fees for months. But the guys from Average Joe's have fun together and get (very slightly) more fit in the process.
But the gym is about to go bankrupt. So the Average Joes enter a dodgeball competitionto win the $50,000 they need to save their gym.

Dodgeball celebrates the average joe. One gym owner, Peter(Vince Vaughn) is down on his luck and the bank is going to foreclose on this gym unless he raises 50 thousand dollars. Another successful gym owner, White (Ben Stiller), threatens to buy out the gym and turn it into a parking lot. The loveable losers at the first gym discover they can raise the funds if they win a dodgeball tourney. This upsets White who also gets a team and enters the tourney and tries to stop them. A number of physical laughs throughout the movie. A number of cameos. Good story.
