Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Party Monster
Party Monster is about the "Club Kids" who partied in New York City during the 1980s. The movie was developed from a book written by one of the "kids". The story line involves drug use and abuse, homosexuality, and murder. The two main characters are at times rivals because each wants to have domain over the scene. Because of the major drug usage, the main character becomes violent and along with a druggie friend of his, they kill their drug dealer who they are in debt to. Party Monster unfolds a subculture with humor, grotesqueness, and a depressing bottom line.
