| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Mr. Lucky |
Joe (played by a roguish Cary Grant) is a likable con artist. He takes on a dead man's identity in order to evade the draft -- World War II is raging -- and continue his "profession." Joe then decides to steal the earnings from a charity ball that has raised funds for the troops. His conscience starts to bother him, though, after he realizes he's fallen for an upstanding society dame.
