| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about PTU |
PTU is a movie produced and directed by Johnnie To in 2003. It earned 10 nominations for the Hong-Kong Academy Awards but only Johnnie To won the award in the Best Director category.
The film follow the work of the Hong-Kong PTU (Police Tactical Unit) over the course of one night. PTU Officer Mike Ho agrees to help the anti-crime chief Lo find his gun lost during a fight with a gang. While Mike Ho and his squad are patrolling the streets and doing their usual night job, Lo desperately tries to find a way to recover his revolver. He'll even strike a deal with a mob boss who promises to return the gun to Lo if he hands over the person who murdered his son.
