| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Alien vs Predator |
The tagline for Alien v. Predator (AVP) is true – “Whoever Wins, We Lose”….our admission fee and two hours of time, that is. This morphing of two popular movie franchises results in a boring, disastrous waste of time. The premise finds a group of archaeologists, played poorly by unknown actors, embarking on an expedition in Antarctica where they discover a hidden Aztec temple housing a host of Alien creatures. At the same time, five Predators also arrive on this territory – their training ground – to hunt the aliens. Since there isn't enough room for both movie monsters, the creatures battle it out while the humans attempt to battle them. The ridiculous ending loses all credibility (not that the film ever had any to begin with).

A team of scientists travel to Antarctica when a satellites finds a hot spot that turns out to be a pyramid. The team is lead by Alexa (Sanaa Lathan) an experiences ice climber. The scientists trigger something in the pyramid during which the Alien queen is thawed from a frozen slumber and starts to lay eggs. A team of Predator hunters have arrived on earth for their hunting season. What ensues is a battle between the Aliens and Predators with humans caught in the middle.
