John "Lucky" Garnett, a dancer, has missed his own wedding. In order to win back his fiance and her father's good favor, he must earn $25,000 in New York City without dancing. However, he immediately falls for Penny Carroll, a dancing instructor. She is engaged to Ricky Romero, a band leader and their main adversary. Can Lucky sort out the whole mess before Penny heads to the altar with Ricky?
