| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Little Indian, Big City |
LITTLE INDIAN, BIG CITY (Un indien dans la ville) is a French comedy directed by Hervé Palud in 1994.
Tired of her stressed life, Stephen's wife left him 13 years ago without a word. Now Stephen is on the verge of getting married again but he still needs his wife to sign the divorce papers. He finds her in the Amazonia where she has adopted the local Indian way of life. She has also raised their son, named Mimi-Siku, who manages to persuade Stephen to bring him to Paris for a few weeks.
In Paris, Mimi-Siku doesn't get well with Stephen's bride who doesn't appreciate the kid's tamed tarantula. While Mimi-Siku is discovering the modern and urban way of life, Stephen is little by little developing a fatherly love for his son. The comic situations are naturally due to the clash between nature and civilization.
