Review Summary and Plot Commentary about South Central
This movie stars Glenn Plummer as Bobby, a member of the Deuces gang along with Ray Ray (Byron Minns). After doing a short stint in jail, Bobby gets picked up by his buddies and comes home to find his girlfriend Carole (LaRita Shelby) flirting with a rival drug dealer. Bobby and the rest of the Deuces go to this rival dealer's hang out and Bobby kills him. After hiding out for a while with Carole and their baby Jimmy, Bobby get busted with his buddies as they pick up a hooker who was really an undercover cop. Bobby gets ten years in prison while Ray Ray builds the Deuces empire. While in prison Bobby finds out his now ten year old son has been recruited to steal car parts for Ray Ray. This enrages him but he is helped by a muslim teacher to find himself and let go of the anger. After finding his inner self Bobby gets paroled and does his best to save his son from becoming a product of the violent street gang culture of L.A.
