| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Salton Sea |
THE SALTON SEA is a movie directed by D.J. Caruso (Taking Lives) in 2002.
Tom Van Allen has witnessed the murder of his wife without being able to step in. For months, he has searched for the murderers and, finally, he's found them : narcotics agents Morgan and Garcetti. In order to get closer to them, Van Allen blends in the Los Angeles drugs environment and soon becomes a snitch working for these agents.
While he's waiting for the right moment to take revenge on Morgan and Garcetti, he gets closer to the character -Danny Parker, a methedrine addict- he has chosen to become in the middle of the L.A. underground life. Now Van Allen/Parker has found a way to catch the two policemen by organizing a deal between the sadistic Pooh-Bear and a Chinese drug dealer who'll be infact an underover F.B.I. agent.
