| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Last Action Hero |
Austin O'Brien is a young boy whose favorite superhero is Arnold Schwarzenegger (Jack Slater). Danny Madigan (O'Brien) is good friends with the owner of a local cinema and he lets Danny in for a sneak peak at Slater's big new flick. When Danny is given a magic ticket, he ends up in the movie in the back seat of Slater's car in the middle of a chase scene. Danny has a lot of explaining to do, but since he is such a big fan of Slater's films, he proves to be an asset. Slater's enemies quickly learn where the young boy came from, get their hands on his magic ticket and transport themselves into Danny's time where there is such a thing as pain. Slater must save Danny from the evil villans while keeping himself alive as well.
