| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Roadie |
Meat Loaf stars as Travis Redfish, a good ‘ol boy truck driver whose life takes an expected turn when he stops to help fix a broken down trailer carrying music equipment and a sixteen-year-old groupie named Lola (Hunter). Lola convinces Travis to drive the trailer to a gig in Austin, Texas where he gets hired as a roadie because of his ability to fix anything. Soon Travis is considered the best roadie in the world but he really just wants to win the heart of Lola, who's on a mission to meet Alice Cooper. The rock ‘n roll romp also features cameos and live performances by Blondie, Roy Orbison, Hank Williams Jr. and Alice Cooper.
