Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Tadpole
Oscar is a 15 year old boy on break from his prestigious high school. He has come home to visit his father (John Ritter) and stepmother. While there he realizes how little the girls his age interest him. He is basically a child genius and is very smart. He finds girls his age are too dumb. He needs more intellectual stimulus. He focuses in on his stepmother played by Sigourney Weaver. She is some sort of medical researcher and very smart. Neither his father or stepmother realize his feelings, only his young friend Charlie. But his stepmother's best friend Diane, played by Bebe Neuwirth, somehow locks into his sexual frustration. He comes by her office one day since she is a chiropractor, and it starts out as a massage. It goes further, because he is drunk at the time and fantasizing it is actually his step-mother. Will he tell his stepmother how he really feels?
