| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Octane |
Madeline Stowe plays Senga, a woman divorced from her husband. Bijou Phillips plays her daughter Natalie. Senga is driving her daughter to spend some time with her father some six hours away from where they live. They meet at a roadside restaurant. They have a disagreement when her father buys her tickets to a weekend trip, when her mother said she couldn't go. The father drives away in disgust and the daughter stomps off into the restaurant. Only when Senga gets there she can't find her. She looks all over and finally sees her daughter boarding an RV with some shady looking characters. She tries to get the local police to help her but they stonewall her. When a cop finally talks to her they claim the daughter is with the father and that no prior missing persons claim was filed. It's starting to seem like a conspiracy. All she knows is that her daughter has hooked up with some bad people and she has to get her back.
