At 48 years old Will Keane is a handsome, successful single man and is determined to keep it that way. He's a playboy who has perfected the art of casual romance. Until he meets Charlotte Fielding. She's unlike anyone he's ever known and is 20 years his junior.
They fall in love, but Charlotte has heart problems that threaten her life. Will isn't willing to let her go so he does everything in his power to save her and the love that they share. Charlotte's grandmother is very against the match because she knows how Will is, but she can't stand in the way of Charlotte's happiness.
