TRACK DOWN is a movie based on the life of the computer hacker Kevin Mitnick and was directed by Joe Chappelle in 2000.
Kevin Mitnick, a computer hacker tracked by the F.B.I., breaks into the computer of Tsutomu Shimomura, a security expert for the most known american companies. Mitnick doesn't know it at first but he has stolen from Shimomura's PC, among other goodies, a program able to paralyze many computers if made public on the internet. Shimomura manages to locate Mitnick a few times but always arrives too late. Meanwhile, Mitnick is trying to break the code of the dangerous program.
