| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Perfect Storm |
Looking for one last score, a group of commercial fisherman set out from the docks in Massachusettes and head deep into the North Atlantic.
After some near misses and some near gains, they finally get lucky and catch a full load of fish. However, before they could get home, three huge storms converged on them, creating the perfect storm and trapping them in the middle.
They send out an SOS, but the rescue helicopter is busy rescuing some sailors. With the sailors safe, the helicopter goes in search of the fishermen, but the storm is too strong and the helicopter crashes. The rescuers are then rescued by a coast guard vessel.
The vessel searches for the fishermen, but is unable to find them. After a valiant effort, the fishing boat capsizes and the entire crew is trapped inside. The boat sinks rapidly with all six men still on board.
