| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Nobody's Baby |
Billy Raedeen (Skeet Ulrich) and Buford Dill (Gary Oldman) are two bungling criminals who can't get out of their own way. They break into the post office (only to read the mail Buford claimed) and get caught by the police. At sentencing the judge realizes that the two of them only seem to commit crimes with each other so he sends them to separate prisons for ten years. On the way out of the courthouse Buford gets into a fight with another criminal, causing a big ruckus and the keys to the cuffs to fall from the officer's belt. Billy picks up the keys and gets free while Buford takes off in the van as one of the other criminals drives off. This leaves Billy stuck. He starts to hitchhike and comes across a family who take off after he changes their tire. While on the back of a moving van Billy sees this family again. He moons them and gives them the finger, enraging the father who is driving. This causes them to crash. Billy pulls a baby from the wreckage and this changes the course of his life. He finds an extended family of misfits in the Nevada desert who welcome him into their trailer park community. The rest of the film is a series of wacky situations and hair brained schemes as Billy Raedeen ultimately learns that he loves this baby girl.
