| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Mean Creek |
George (Josh Peck) is the bully at a small Oregon highschool. Sam (Rory Culkin) is his innocent victim. Sam, typically a pacifist, confesses to his big brother Rocky (Trevor Morgan) about the treatment George has been giving him.
In a fit of adolescent anger, Rocky and his friends Marty (Scott Mechlowicz) and Clyde(Ryan Kelly) come up with a plan to pay George back for Sam's pain, by inviting George along on a river ride for Sam's "birthday", and later daring him to strip naked and leap into the river, when they will take his clothes, leaving him stranded.
George, a friendless, ignored rich kid, readily agrees, seeing the trip as an opportunity to finally make friends, unaware of the true purpose of his invitation. After hearing about the plan, however, Sam's girlfriend, Millie (Carly Schroeder), demands that he call it off, which everyone but Marty agrees to.
As the day progresses, the kids discover that George is not just a bully, and they even begin to enjoy his company.
