| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Welcome to Collinwood |
A group of small-time thieves make plans to rob a jeweler. They plan to break into the adjacent apartment and break through the wall into the jewelry shop.
One of the thieves wooes the maid that cleans the apartment to try to gain access. He learns that the apartment owners will be out of town soon.
However, before the robbery, the thief falls for the maid and can't use her to gain access.
The inept thieves break into the apartment, but they break down the wrong wall. Now, they don't have enough time to break through the other wall and into the safe.
One of the thieves decides to find some food. He finds a cookie jar with one thousand dollars stashed in it. He finds a pot in the fridge and wants to heat it on the stove. When they light the stove the apartment blows up.
So, after weeks of planning and preparing, the thieves end up with charred and tattered clothes and just the thousand dollars they found.

Cosimo (Guzman) is a petty criminal in jail where he hears about a great opportunity for a heist. He enlists his friend Toto to take the blame for the car theft so he can get out of jail. Instead, his friends double-cross him, leaving him in jail while they take his plans to rob a jewelry store.
Pero (Rockwell), Jerzy (Clooney), Riley (Macy) and Leon plan the theft. Jerzy is the safecracker but he is confined to a wheelchair and teaches the others to crack the safe. For this he charges $500. Riley is a photographer and knows that they can steal expensive camera equipment to pawn to pay Jerzy. Unfortunately, Riley is caught after the theft and gets his arm broken.
Once they assemble their team, and learn to crack a safe there is a new problem: a family moves in to the vacant apartment next to the jewelry store. Their perfect plan is falling apart. Pero lures the beautiful daughter out of the apartment while the rest of the team enters and breaks through the wall to steal the jewels.
