| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Wind |
Wind tells the story of competitive sail boat racing, following Will Parker (Modine) and Kate Bass's (Grey) take on Jack, the arrogant Australian sailor for the coveted America's Cup. Will gets a ride upon the America's cup defender, but botches the race when he hits the bouy while rounding the winward mark. This loses the race to the Australian challengers and with it ends the longest winning streak in history. Will becomes downtrodden, Kate leaves him and he is left alone to comtemplate his loss. Will and Kate are reunited when they come together to develope a new type of sail that they believe will help them win the Cup back from the Aussies. Coupled with the amazing race sequences is a classic love story of two people seperated by personal ambition and reunited by a shared dream.
