| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Saved |
Mary is a schoolgirl and one day her boyfriend says that he is gay. In the excitement of the confession Mary bangs her head and has a vision telling her to have sex with her boyfriend to cure him. Her plan fails and Mary becomes pregnant in the process. Meanwhile her boyfriend is shipped off to a new school where they hope to cure him as well.
During her pregnancy Mary avoids her friends (including best friend Hilary) and family as much as possible so they won't learn about her pregnancy. Everyone thinks she is into drugs or crime now. She instead makes new friends with class misfits who know that Mary is pregnant by the way she dresses: they don't care about her "condition" and she feels comfortable with them. Mary then meets the principal's son and falls in love with him. Hilary becomes disgusted with Mary and sets her up: she spray paints the school and plants the evidence in Mary's locker. For this crime, which she did not commit, Mary is expelled.
