| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Mannequin |
Jonathan Switcher (Andrew McCarthy) is an aspiring young artist who cannot hold onto a job. During one of his brief jobs, he makes a mannequin that is so life like he starts to have feelings for it.
While walking around the city one day, he sees his creation in a window of a local department store that is in the midst of having to close its doors.
While working a night shift one day, the mannequin (Kim Cattrall) comes to life. The two fall in love with each other and help the business regain its footing because of the window displays they make that are catching people's eyes around town.
Another retail company does not like all the attention McCarthy's store is getting so they try to kidnap the mannequin.
