Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Gladiator (1992)
This is a story of a white and black teenager who are trapped fighting in an underground boxing league.
Tommy Riley (James Marshall) works part-time at a diner by day, but fights in the boxing league by night to cover past debts piled up by his father. Abraham Lincoln Haines (Gooding Jr.) fights to make money so his wife and daughter can move out of the ghetto.
While being manipulated to fight by ringmaster Jimmy Horn, the two fighters get over their petty differences and become friends.
Because the two are so successful, Horn want to please the crowd and pit the two friends against each other.
