Duke and Sammy, the poor man's Martin and Lewis, wake up to find them stranded on an island in the Pacific. They are taken in by a local tribe and helped by the chief clansman's daughter, Nona.
Nona works for the mad scientist, Dr. Zabor, who is in love with her and jealous of her relationship with Duke. He is performing experiments that deal with evolution, like turning a monkey into a gorilla.
Hilarity ensues as Sammy is seduced by Nona's rather ample sister and Duke is transformed into a gorilla by Dr. Zabor. Slapstick, singing, dancing and funny tribesman all make up this average movie.
