| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Handgun |
Seymore Cassel plays an aging con who has just made parole. He and his buddies go out and pull "one last job" and rob a bank. They get away with half a million dollars. Well not quite. Most of the gang is killed along with several bank security men. "Dad" goes into hiding with one of his pals. In the meantime, his two sons have been estranged from their dad and barely talk to each other. This is Treat Williams (George) and Paul Schultze (Michael). But with a half a million dollars hanging in the balance, maybe it is time to make amends. The two try to figure out how they can get the money. George himself is an ex-con with street smarts. Michael, though he considers himself a businessman, is really just a sleaze bilking old people by selling them phony cemetery plots. No better than George, really. They aren't the only ones who want the old man's money. Two sleazy cops who don't feel like working for a living decide to go after the money. And the old man's old pals think they want it too. The brothers are stalked because the vultures think that they'll lead them to the money.
