| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Clockwatchers |
Toni Collette stars as Iris, who is on her first day as a temp working for Global Credit, an impersonal huge corporation. She is very shy and insecure. She meets another temp, Margaret (Parker Posey) who is very cynical and sets about to teach Iris all the ropes of working there as a temp. Iris soon meets the other two temps (Lisa Kudrow and Alanna Ubach) and they all become a tight-knit little group.
Margaret always talks about how she has been a temp for too long and she is dying to get a permanent job with the company, if for no other reason than to please her displeased parents. When another gal snags a coveted position in the company, things start to go wrong as egos collide and tempers flare. Things go from bad to worse when items start disappearing from the office and nobody is above suspicion.
