Reed Richards is a scientist who wants to study the effects of a cosmic storm in outer space. To do this he has to ask for help from Viktor. He uses his space station to get close to the storm. Something goes wrong and Viktor, Reed, Susan, Johnny and Ben's DNA gets altered. Reed is Mr. Fantastic, Susan Storm is The Invisible Woman, her brother Johnny is the Human Torch,Ben Grimm is the Thing, and Viktor turns into metal (eventually). Viktor turns evil and wants to take over the world. They meet in the street and eventually finish Victor off.

Five people go to a space station and are exposed to cosmic rays which give them special powers. Their wimpy leader is named Reed, and he can stretch into different shapes; Susan (black blonde lady) can make herself invisible, Ben has super strength, Johnny can fly and light fires, and the villain can shoot electricity. Most of the movie is spent with the main characters discovering their powers; there isn't much of a plot; at the end, the bad guy, for reasons unexplained, attacks the Fantastic Four so they will have someone to fight. Reed also has a romance with Susan, which is hard to believe, as Reed acts very gay throughout the film.
