| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Before Sunset |
BEFORE SUNSET is a film co-written (with Hawke and Delpy) and directed by Richard Linklater in 2003.
Nine years after they first met in Vienna, Austria, an event described in "Before Sunrise", Jesse and Celine meet again in Paris where Jesse is presenting his first novel to the press. Jesse has only one hour before he must leave to take his flight home. During these 60 minutes, they will roaming through Paris, talking about their personal lives and remembering their first encounter. At first a little embarrassed, both Jesse and Celine will finally admit that they are not happy with their present life and that they have regretted during these nine years not to be able to contact each other.
