| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Elite |
The Elite starts opens up with an arms deal gone wrong at U.S. munitions facility in Utah. Then it quickly cuts to 1987 where a plane went down in a terrorist act where all people on board were thought to have been killed. But five survived and were trained to be an elite team of anti-terrorist fighters. While in Bulgaria the team penetrates an arms dealers headquarters and tries defuse a missile from going off but the arms dealer escapes. Half of the team takes off after him in an effort to get the codes while two other members work on defusing the missile. The other half finally catches up to the arms dealer but his car goes over a hill and gets smashed by a train. They stop the missle but get reprimanded by their boss Mckay (Steven Williams)for killing the dealer. They are then assigned to find out what happened to a batch of chemical-containing landmines, which leads them to the people who brought down the plane that killed their parents. The mission becomes personal and they disobey orders in an effort to stop a missile attack on a computer convention.
