Stella (Bassett) is a 40 year old successful San Francisco stocker broker who goes on a vacation with a friend to the Bahamas. There she meets this guy name Winston (Diggs) who is 20 years old. She end up falling in love with this guy. But Stella has to return home to to her son and her job. When she gets home she start to miss winston, so she take her son and her niece to the bahamas where she meets up with Winston. There they decide Winston she come back home with them, but before they leave she goes to meet Winstons parent who disapproves of their son's relationship with an older woman.
When they get back home Stella and Winston have to deal with alot of criticism from Sella's family and friends. Stella and Winston go through alot of problems which is affecting their relationship. Winston want the relationship to work so he proposes to Stella.

Stella (played by Angela Bassett) is a 40-something single mother living in San Francisco. Stella is a successful stock broker who has accomplished a lot professionally but is still searching for Mr. Right. When Stella's best friend Delilah (Whoopie Goldberg) suggests a vacation to Jamaica, Stella seizes the opportunity to chill in paradise. As Delilah and Stella hit the night spots they are approached by numerous men looking to hook up while on vacation. None of the men are appealing to Stella. Until she meets the sexy and charming Winston Shakespeare. Winston and Stella share an instant bond, as well as an electric attraction. Problem is, Winston is only 20 years old. Despite Stella's initial hesitation she embarks on a fling with Winston. When Stella returns to San Francisco she realizes that she wants Winston in her life as a partner. Stella and Winston decide that he will relocate to San Francisco. Although Stella and Winston are in love, major differences crop up in their relationship, differences that could end their romance.
