| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Train Robbers |
THE TRAIN ROBBERS is a western written and directed by Burt Kennedy in 1973.
A few years ago, Mrs. Lowe's husband stole US $500,000 in gold and hid it in the Mexican desert. Now Mrs. Lowe, after the brutal death of her husband, wants to clear his name and returns the loot to the Wells Fargo. She hires Lane (Wayne) and his friends to escort her to Mexico and find the gold. But there is still a small problem : her husband's former accomplices also want their share of the loot and decide to follow Lane in the desert. Once Lane has found the gold in the boiler of an old locomotive lost in the sand, the bad guys attack.
