| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Cutter's Way |
Based on Newton Thornburg's novel "Cutter & Bone", Cutters Way stars Jeff Bridges as Richard Bone. After sleeping with a woman Richard Bone goes to visit his friend Alex Cutter, a Vietnam veteran who's lost the use of his leg, and arm, and his left eye. Along the way Bone sees a man dumping a body in the garbage and the mysterious culprit almost runs Bone over as he sped away. A couple days later Bone gets picked up and questioned by the police but is released after six hours. He also makes the paper as a witness to the body dump. This is when the jaded Cutter decides that the murderer is a rich man by the name of J.J. Cord (Stepehen Elliot). For a while, Bone doesn't agree with this theory. He thinks it's pure fantasy until they find Cutter's house burned down and his wife dead. They use a friends invitation to get into a party at Cord's mansion where Bone finally realizes it was Cord and takes matters into his own hands.
