Pongo is a dalmatian who lives with his owner Roger. They are lonely British bachelors until an excursion in the park leads to them meeting the women of their dreams. Pongo falls in love with another dalmatian, Perdita, and Roger ends up marrying her owner Anita. Soon Pongo and Perdita are expecting puppies, and they end up having an astounding litter of fifteen. The wealthy, fur-obsessed Cruella De Vil offers to buy the puppies, but is turned down. So, Cruella hires two lackeys, Horace and Jasper, to kidnap the puppies. It turns out that Cruella has already stockpiled a large number of dalmatian puppies that she is planning to turn into a fur coat.
Roger and Anita contact the police, but when Pongo realizes that the humans aren't able to find their puppies, he and Perdita decide to take matters into their own paws. The two parents get help and information from other dogs and animals along the way as they search the country, but when they finally locate their puppies, they are faced with an even bigger problem. The task now becomes rescuing all 99 puppies that Cruella was holding before Horace and Jasper kill them, and getting them all safely home.
