| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Son in Law |
Rebecca is a farm girl from South Dakota who leaves home for the first time to go to college in Los Angeles. She is uncomfortable and completely out of her element until she meets her Resident Assistant Crawl, a wild young city guy who shows her the ropes and transforms her into a California girl. When she goes back home to the farm she brings Crawl along. She ends up telling her family that she is engaged to Crawl in order to keep her longtime South Dakota boyfriend from proposing to her. Now Crawl must spend the vacation pretending to be Rebecca's fiancee, and the tables have turned as Crawl must learn the ways of farm life, and shake up Rebecca's family and disapproving father in the process. Meanwhile, Rebecca's ex-boyfriend thinks something fishy is going on, and is out to expose Crawl.
