Cat chaser is the nickname of Peter weller's character in this film. A former US marine, he is haunted by images of his time fighting in the Dominican Republic. Cat Chaser is now a pool attendant at a cheap hotel in Florida. One night he meets a woman (Kelly McGillis) and they embark on a passionate affair.
However, McGillis is the wife of an evil General in the Panama army. Her husband is a powerful psycopath who would kill Weller if he found out. Weller comes to the island to rescue Mcgillis from her husband. Together, they plot to escape from her husband, taking a large sum of his money. Weller recruits his friends from the hotel to help save McGillis.
