| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Rescuers Down Under |
In this sequel to The Rescuers, Rescue Aid Society agents Bernard and Miss Bianca return as the two heroic mice. Bernard is finally about to propose to Miss Bianca, but before he is able to, the pair are called away from New York to Austraila on a mission to rescue a little boy from the clutches of a poacher.
The little boy, Cody, was captured by the poacher Percival McLeach when he tried to save Marahute, a rare golden eagle whom he'd befriended, from the poacher's clutches.
A mouse whom Cody had saved from the poacher sent out a request to the Rescue Aid Society to save the boy.
Bernard and Miss Bianca arrive in Austraila, ready to take on their mission. They are helped by a kangaroo rat named Jake, who keeps hitting on Miss Bianca, much to Bernard's annoyance, especially since he keeps trying to find the right moment to propose to her.
