| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Commotion on the Ocean |
Three stooges work as janitors in a newspaper office. They want to be reporters, but their boss won't give them a chance.
One of the men takes a phone call about information about some stolen microfilm. They see this as their big chance to catch the spy and break the story.
They ask their foreign neighbor for help, but they end up helping him. They unknowingly help him stow away on a ship and they get stuck on the ship as stow aways themselves.
While their neighbor sleeps, the stooges eat his watermelons. They discover the stolen film hidden in the watermelons and realize that their neighbor is the spy.
The spy wakes up and discovers that he's been found. He tries to kill the stooges.
However, the stooges are able to knock the spy out and tie him up just as they reach land.
