| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Les Comperes |
LES COMPERES, also known as "ComDads", is a French comedy written and directed by Francis Veber in 1983.
Tristan Martin, a 16 years old boy, runs away from home and heads to Nice with his girlfriend. His mother Christine decides to ask two of her ex-boyfriends she hasn't seen for 16 years, the journalist Jean Lucas and François Pignon, to help her find Tristan. In order to motivate them, she says to each of them that Tristan is his son. Both men meet in Nice and decide to combine their forces in order to find Tristan before trying to solve their little problem of fatherhood. After having found Tristan, they spend a few days in Nice and carefully observe each move of the young boy with the hope to recognize in him something that could prove Tristan is related to them.
