| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Love Affair |
A French lover boy and an American lady meet onboard a cruise ship. Both are respectively involved with other parties but just so happen to fall in love.
They agree to meet in six months to see if their feelings have changed and to give each time to make a go of it on their own.
Both are successful and still in love at the end of six months. As Michelle (Boyer) waits at the top of the Empire State Building, Terry (Dunne) is rushing to meet him. Tragedy strikes when she it hit by a car and paralyzed. Needless to say, she never makes the meeting.
Terry does not want Michelle to know about the accident so she goes on to make a life as a music teacher in an orphanage. Michelle becomes a well known painter. On a trip to New York he discovers Terry in the phone book and decides to pay her a visit on Christmas Day. The results are surprising.
