Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Happy New Year
Nick (Peter Falk) and Charlie (Charles Durning), a pair of small-time con men, arrive in Palm Beach, Florida, in early December with a plan to rob a well-protected and high-class jewelry store on New Year's Eve.

Disguised as a wealthy old man, his sister, and their chauffeur, Nick and Charlie carefully case the store and earn the trust and good will of the store's manager.

Things go awry, however, when Nick falls in love with Carolyn (Wendy Hughes), the beautiful owner of the antique shop next door to their target.

Can Nick and Charlie pull off the heist of a lifetime? And if they do, what will it mean to Charlie's relationship with Carolyn?
