Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh
THE STRANGE VICE OF MRS. WARDH, was directed by Sergio Martino in 1970.

Julie and her husband Neil Wardh have just arrived in Vienna, Austria. While a serial killer is terrorizing the city, Julie starts a love affair with the handsome George Corro and tries to avoid the company of Jean, a former lover who keeps harassing her. Julie had to break their relationship a few months before because of Jean's sadistic sexual games (hence the title of the movie).

When a young girl Julie met at a party and her closest friend Carol, George Corro's cousin, are stabbed, Julie assumes that the serial killer and Jean are the same person. One night, she's aggressed by a masked man with a razor in the parking of her residence. Her husband Neil decides then to go to Jean's with Julie and they found there Jean's corpse lacerated in his bathtub. Julie, who starts to suffer from hallucinations, decides to leave Neil and accompany George Corro to Spain. There, she reads in the newspaper that the Austrian serial killer has finally been liquidated by his last prey. But, when Julie thinks that all this nightmare is at last over, she receives flowers with a note written by the man who tried to kill her in Vienna.
