| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Ice Age: The Meltdown |
As the first part wooly mammoth Manny (voice of Ray Romano), saber tooth tiger Diego (Dennis Leary) and sloth Sid (John Leguizamo) set off on a journey. This time they have a mission to lead their friends out of the valley before it's too late.
In second part Ice Age: The Meltdown Ice Age is going to end soon and all the animals are happy their new world but only three Manny, Diego and Sid know one major drawback of warm climate. They knew that the entire valley is in danger because of an enormous glacial dam which is about to break. They can only survive if they reach the other end of the valley. So three heroes will save them along with a mammoth (Ellie) with her two brothers (possums Crash and Eddie); get on a increasingly dangerous mission to escape.
Mammoth Manny wonders if mammoths are extinct because he seems to be the only one left but soon he meets Ellie (Queen Latifah), other characters face predators and other barriers as they try beating water to the edge of the valley.
The funniest part of this movie is the little adorable squirrel (Scrat) who is in fruitless chase of one single acorn through out this movie. This squirrel may not be as rib-tickling as in the first part but over the entire movie provides some satisfaction and loud laugh to their target audience. Determined little squirrel goes through so much and still ends up empty handed.

The Ice Age is coming to an end. The ice is melting, and the animals are stuck inside the huge bowl created around them by the ice. The vultures warn them to run for their lives, or be dinner for them.
The vultures tell them about a ship at the end of the valley. The animal kingdom heads for the boat. In this crowd are Sid, Manny, and Diego, who also warned the crowd.
On their journey, Manny solves the problem lurking in his head and finds another mammoth (Ellie). Sid is seen as the 'fire king' by a group of animals like him. Diego faces his fears; water.
