An overworked family with no fun and adventure in their life desperately needs some quality time together. They decide to go on a trip to Hawaii for a vacation, but Bob had something else in his mind that he takes them to a road trip to Colorado in a recreational vehicle. Bob is accompanied by his family, his wife Jaime, 15-year-old daughter Cassie and 12-year-old son Carl. Bob drags his wife and kids kicking and screaming into the RV and Bob's togetherness plan fails miserably everything that can go wrong does and his family becomes angry with him.
