Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Storm Watch
STORM WATCH aka CODE HUNTER for the DVD market was co-written and directed by Terry Cunningham in 2002.

It's a great day for Dr. Valerie Harman and her engineer Mason Kemeny, they will demo to representatives of the American government their new software which is able to destroy any target on ground by using the electric power of a storm that it creates above it. The demonstration is a success but the following day a hurricane occurs with a few tens of miles of the place of the experiment in the Pacific ocean. A few hours later, another hurricane is formed in the Atlantic Ocean without Mason nor Doctor Harman being able to control the situation. For the military attachés who follow the evolution of the situation, the only manner of avoiding a major catastrophe inside the country is to send an atomic bomb inside the eye of the cyclones.

Meanwhile, Nick 'Jester' Chase, a former hacker, tries to gain the maximum of money by playing the last video game a la mode. In the medium of a game, a virtual character, Neville, asks him to go to copy certain information in the computer of Dr. Valerie Harman. If he says no, he will be put on the FBI's Most Wanted List by the mastermind of the game. Nick is soon sought by all the police force of Los Angeles and is stopped. Brought in front of Dr. Valerie Harman, he understands quickly that her computer is responsible for the violent hurricanes that approach the American coasts. Its central processing unit started to think in an independent way and programmed the methodical destruction of a part of the population of the United States. Nick is requested to try by all the means to break the codes of access of the program in order to confront, in the virtual reality, the central unit which materialized in the person of Neville and is able now to appear in any video game online in the internet.
