| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Deceived |
Manhattan art restorer Adrienne Saunders (Goldie Hawn) thinks she lives an ideal life with her husband Jack (John Heard), a curator for a large, metropolitan art museum. But when a priceless Egyptian necklass on display in Jack's museum turns out to be a fraud, the man who authenticated it turns up dead, and Jack himself is slain in a car accident, Adrienne's world begins to crumble.
Informed that her husband of five years was using an assumed identity, Adrienne goes in search of the truth about Jack, but soon learns that someone is hunting for the Egyptian necklass, a shadowy, ruthless killer who begins to tear down everything she still loves.
