| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Melinda and Melinda |
MELINDA AND MELINDA was written and directed by Woody Allen in 2004.
Two authors imagine, starting from the same story about a young woman called Melinda told by one of their friends, a comedy and a tragedy. Melinda unexpectedly arrives one evening at her intimate friend's home in the middle of a business dinner. She had to leave her husband and her children because she was convicted of adultery.
Melinda is in a pitiful condition, takes pills and drinks more alcohol than she should. Consequently, her friends decide to make her meet unmarried men and organize appointments for her. Unfortunately, Melinda is not attracted by the wooers presented and falls in love with a pianist met by chance.
