| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Breaking Up |
Directed by Robert Greenwald in 1997. Steve and Monica live together for two and has half year now and the magic between them has slowly disappeared. They decide to put a term at their relation and separate. After one week, they can't bear it anymore, they see each other, spend the night together but separate again in the morning, arguing.
A few months and a few affairs later for both of them, Steve comes unannounced at Monica's place and asks her to marry him. She accepts and the couple moves in in a new appartment. On the day of the marriage, Steve blanks out before saying yes to Monica. It's too much for the young woman who decides to leave Steve definitively. For weeks, Steve will call her several times a day but Monica refuses to speak to him.
