| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Brink's Job |
When professional crook Tony Pino (Peter Falk) gets out of prison, he sets about putting his old gang back together. After knocking over a candy company with the help of his brother-in-law (Allen Garfield) and a bookmaker-turned-robber (Paul Sorvino), he takes a Brink's armored car for $30,000 with unbelievable ease.
Realizing that the security at Brink's headquarters is so loose that he can walk in and out as he pleases, he puts together a crew, including an ex-paratrooper safecracker (Warren Oates) and a money-laundering bar owner (Peter Boyle), and easily robs the Brink's safe of over $1.5 million.
Tony and his boys think they've got it made. But when every cop up to and including J. Edgar Hoover (Sheldon Leonard) gets into the act, they may be about to learn that stealing a million bucks is easy, but getting away with can be murder.
